  1. you don't need a HS grad., as long as your 18.

But take my advice if you graduate first you get ranked higher.

If you graduate college depending on the degree you get a MUCH higher rank. Take it from me if your a college grad you'd be living the life!

PS. if its your passion go for it, you can work up to it. Do what you think is right for our country and go with it.

Don't let people stop you from what you think id right!

And yes i do know one and we talk about this stuff.

  2. You can meet with a recruiter and weigh your options. Sometimes at the end of the month if they need to make mission they can waive certain things like a GED. Also, if you have a GED you will need some college credits too. (I can find out exact number tomorrow, as my husband a USMC recruiter is asleep)This shows that your are dedicated, even though you didn't graduate high school. Talk to a recruiter for sure. Also, since you are 17 you will need parental consent, unless you are an emancipated minor.

  3. You probably dont need a recruiter to tell you this. But, Go get your highschool deploma, if you wanna join the Marine Corps. I know they have wavers for everything, but not a g.e.d. As far as i know. Unless something has changed in the last 8 years. You need a high school deploma at the very least.

  4. They don't let you enlist with just a GED. You have to have a GED and then go get 15 college credits to enlist.
