Is there any adapter available to copy a DVD to DVD on a DVD recorder?

I am looking for a device to hook up between a DVD player and DVD recorder to be able to copy a copy protected DVD's.

  2. There is a cable that will remove the macrovision copy protection signal, but it's intended for VCRs.  It should work for connecting a DVD player to a DVD recorder but will still result in a low quality copy because they're only composite video, as opposed to component video cables.

    If you have a DVD burner in your PC, you'd be better off using something like DVD Shrink to rip the DVD to your hard drive, then use Nero to burn that image to a new DVD.  DVD Shrink is nice because it also allows you to edit the DVD image, removing unwanted features or footage.  This will allow you to make a perfect copy of the DVD with no loss of quality.
