  1. Hi.

I heard of some, but in south america and asia.

They take ppl and pay for their commercial license and flight time, but they have to sign a contract and work for the airline for several years with a low wage. If they quit, they will be charged all the training. If you don't mind working overseas for a couple of years, and learning a foreign language, it could be an option.

  2. Typically, deals like this are only found in Asia.  I know of Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific have cadet pilot programs.  The only catch is that you have to be a native of their respective country to qualify.  There may be others worldwide that I am not aware of, but I guarantee you that you won't find anything like this in the US.  If programs like this were numerous, I'd be a whole lot richer and in the right seat of a jet instead of a piston.

  3. Well China still does it. If you are Chinese and want to be a Commercial pilot my company and Airlines in China co-sign and selects over 400 students  that is being paied for by both. Once you complete the program you are off to get your type rating on nothing smaller than a B737 or A319.

I dont think this exsist in the western world.

However, good luck with your career path.

  4. It would be nice if such funding was available from an airline, but unfortunately that is not the case unless the airlines have changed something recently. The airlines usually have more commercial qualified applicants knocking on their doors than they have available positions for. With that in mind you can see why the airlines do not need to attract applicants by offering training assistance.

If your dream and wishes are to be a commercial pilot, it will be up to you to make your dream spread its wings and fly into reality. Go for it.
