Is there any alternative to tahini sauce. They are too expensive here in Bangladesh?

  1. Tahini is really easy to make!  (And cheap!)

    Get some sesame seeds.  Put them in a food processor.  (Don't overload your processor!) Grind them for 15 minutes, then turn off your food processor, otherwise the motor will overheat and burn out.  Let it rest for 10 minutes.  Grind for 15 more minutes.  Then turn off the processor again.  Repeat until its the right consistency.  (About 1.5 hours)Thats it!  You'll want to season it before you eat it, but the recipe couldn't be simpler!

    I don't know the price of sesame seeds in Bangladesh, but here in the US tahini costs $5-$7.  You can buy enough sesame seeds to make the same amount for about $1.


  2. You can use some peanut butter mixed with sesame oil..
