  1. Anorexic human being.

  2. All autotrophs.

    Edit:

Eat does not equate consume. Autotrophs consume the glucose they produce for energy but they surely does not eat them.

  3. no. all living things must consume in order to remain alive. this is part of the theory of living things, which contains the following points:

    -All living things consume

-All living things are based on a universal genetic code

    -All living things excrete

    -All living things grow

    -All living things reproduce.

-All living things are composed of cells

in order for something to be considered an organism (living thing), it must possess all of these traits. If not, then it isn't considered alive.

for example: many people believe viruses are alive, but they actually are not organisms. the only trait of living things that viruses possess is reproduction. other than that, they are just bits of protein and nucleic acid that infect cells and reproduce inside them. In fact, fire possess more qualities of life than viruses do. Fire consumes (wood as an energy source), Fire excretes (smoke, carbon dioxide), and Fire grows (if you add fuel to a flame, it will get bigger). But it isn't alive because it doesn't possess all of these traits.

    hope that helps!

  4. Viruses?

  5. Plants. Maybe you should reword your question.

  6. some organisms filter feed, as in they have no mouth, they just kind of suck in organic material in the water.
