ouran high--- i watched it after fruits basket and liked it

school rumble--- currently watchin....and it is VERY funny and

zero no tsukaima--- funnniest romance really....my fave

one piece is like naruto and bleach because it has action and character development.

D. Gray-Man (not in america yet) is still going on, its amazing. A lot of action and a great storyline.

Hunter x Hunter (won't be in america) is one of my favorites, it doesn't have much action but its still very good and worth watching.

Blood+ (is in america though I suggest watching in japanese with subs) has quite a bit of action, its kind of slow getting started though.

Yu Yu Hakusho is your best bet.

When Tite Kubo first brought Bleach to Shonen Jump, it was rejected for being too much like Yu Yu Hakusho.

Most Shonen anime have a lot of action:

Hunter X Hunter (A lot of fans claim that Naruto is a rip off of this series)

There is one piece that is somewhat similar. But a series even better than all of them is Death Note.
