If you make over $800 a week, and can prove it with paycheck stubs, you shouldn't have any trouble renting an apartment. If your only debt is $700, you can pay that off in a couple of weeks, so don't worry. What is it that you don't want these apartments to do?

.   I'm a landlord.  If you will explain to me why you will pay me on time, i will let you rent my house.  You have to make it clear why you didn't pay other people but you will pay me.  If you convince me, you can move in. Same with the apartments.  Don't dodge the credit , address it as soon as you walk in.  Right now all the apartments officially require credit checks.  Many are empty so it may be time for them to deal.
