... about Rene Marie's singing the "Black National Anthem" at Mayor Hickenlooper's "State of the City" address.

Personally, I'm not so concerned about what she did as being "unpatriotic" or whatever as much as much as it bothers me that she did it at Mayor "Hick's" event.

I just think he's a good guy and it was disrepectful to him.

I agree with you, but I think we should be a little more angry.  Black pride is the only thing keeping the prejudice alive.  Racism is over against African Americans.  They are the one's fueling the fire.  Once we as Americans realize that we are a united people, we would have the respect for our country to put aside these segragating songs and actually sing the song of our country, of which we all compose and represent.  Rene Marie....she has lost her mind.
