not counting wierdos who weld together a bunch of old tubas in their basement and call it something lame like a Dr. Seuss-aphone (for non band geeks, it's a pun on sousaphone, a sort of tuba-like instrument).

  1. On a basic standard, no but there are diffrent types of tuba like the sousaphone or the contra tuba.

  2. no,

well a french horn is LONGER, but not bigger.

so i am going to say no,

now their may be non standard instruments, like a "Dr. Seuss-aphone"

but my final answer is going to be no.

  3. Yes, the SOUSAPHONE... created by John Phillip Sousa, to project low tones

  4. Ok. yes and no to your answer.  If you are thinking of the standard size tuba then the larger would be the contra tuba... but it is still a tuba.  If all the large brass western instruments are called tubas then the only answer is a tuba.  Oh, the susaphone is really the same size as a concert tuba, just wrapped up differently.
