yes , there is a train called Toy Train from kalka to shimla. , apart from this you can take bus from kalka interstate bus stop.

There are Himachal prades run Government Buses plying at renguler interval which will take you to shimla as trian journey from shimla to kalka is through narrow guage line which takes long time.youshould tavel by bus only.There are luxury buses also operated by private operators.
