  1. Legally speaking insurers can not refusecover to senor citizens. In practice they discourage senior  citzens with a steep hike in premiums and by imposing various conditions.


  2. Are you asking if you reach a certain age, you are no longer eligible for health insurance, or that your insurance will be canceled?  

    No.  

    However, the older you get, the more expensive your insurance becomes, until Medicare kicks in.

  3. It depends, many carriers won't issue coverage if you are over age 64 1-2. But if you already have coverage you are allowed to keep it. Most people  don't realize that your health insurance rates will go up every year based on your age. So it will get pretty expensive.

    This can be a problem for those foreign nationals who don't qualify for medicaid. So far Kaiser is the only company I know of that will take applicants of any age and that may not be in every state.

    Joshi, is wrong most health insurance companies do not accept applications for people over 64-1/2
