Actually, if you look at certain lottery systems (for example Power Ball), number combinations that are randomly generated by machine win more frequently then number combinations chosen by a human being.

But, in the end the chances of you winning any lottery are quite small.  It is best to play for fun only, if you play at all.

Unfortunately, it is the same chance you would have of winning if you have the computer pick random numbers for you, or if you play 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.

Every number combination has an equally unlikely chance of winning.  You can use any superstition or birth date related sequence you like, but it still has no better chance of winning.
