Is there any chance tropical storm Gustav will possibly hit the Alabama-Florida border?

I'm way confused about it! There is so many possibilities though.

Guess I'll just have to wait until about Sunday maybe.

Well it depends.

Right now it's looking like it will pass to your east making what looks like right now just west of New Orleans.

It depends what forecasting models you look at. As of right now the majority of the models are showing Gustav will make landfall somewhere west of New Orleans or maybe a western LA landfall. Only one of the models are showing a landfall east of there. If this is the case then Gustav will make a landfall near the Missisippi/Alabama border landfall.

There is still great uncertainty in the track of Gustav. The margin of error is from Central Texas to the FL, AL border.

Also this system is expected to be a strong category 3 hurricanes with winds of 100 knots ( about 110mph). So this is not a hurricane to be messed with.

new reports suggest a more western curve, hitting west of new orleans and more toward texas.  but weather is unpredictable.  once it hits the gulf of mexico, its anyones guess.

It's supposed to make landfall near New Orleans as a category 2 or 3. That's semi-close to you, so you're likely to get a good slam from it. You might want to evacuate anyway, but it's more of a voluntary thing for you.

No, it doesn't appear that way- looks like it's headed straight for LA and the southern/eastern most portion of TX. Alabamians are in the clear! *Whew*
