Is there any cheap, clean, comfortable accomodation in Dublin, Ireland? (specifically in Dublin 8)?

Four Court Hostel, in the Temple Bar area, right on the River Liffey! I love that place.

Although I have not been to the one in Dublin, I have been to the one in Cork, Ireland, I would recommend the Kinlay House Hostel.

The one in Cork was awesome! We got our own room which was nice as opposed to all the other hostels we stayed at. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, they gave us directions and advice as to where we should go, and all kinds of information.

If you don't end up staying there, I would recommend looking at different hostels to stay at. They are very cheap, a lot cheaper than a hotel or bed and breakfast. We saved so much money by going to hostels in Ireland instead of hotels or bed and breakfasts.
