All I hear about is political agendas that separate us.

While we bicker about what we want and explain our bias, we are all loosing.

Our freedoms are sliding down a hill of oil and deceit. Don't you dare put blame on the Republicans. Don't you dare put blame on the Democrats.

You are the ones to blame, the people that allowed this country to be divided and concord by money power and corruption.

Nothing we do as individuals can help us. We must stand together. We don't need a leader that supports our views on specific issues. We need a leader that will defend our freedom and civil liberties as a whole. I don't want to hear another word about abortion, g*y rights or any other controversy until I know that my freedoms are safe and in tact with my own government.

I don't fear foreign terrorist I fear domestic terrorist empowered with our trust.

  1. We just saw it; our political leaders were inundated with arguments from U.S. citizens against allowing amnesty for illegal aliens. We should all take more interest in what is happening in our government; to protect our freedom, to protect our quality of life, and to rid ourselves of politicians who violate our laws and constitution. I for one was proud of those who took the stand against amnesty for illegals; I would like to see them stand now to impeach Bush and Cheney; even if they were impeached the day before the end of their office - that too would send a message that the American people will not stand by while ANY politician violated our laws and our constitution!

  2. It won't happen until more Americans move away from the two party system. Vote independent.

  3. I, personally, am a fierce advocate of grammar, syntax, and spelling.

  4. Heck, last I checked all my freedoms and civil liberties are in tact and life is good.

  5. Everyone needs to understand balance, acceptance/tolerance of each other, and what is really good for one person may not be really good for another person.  For example, we cannot totally eliminate welfare nor can we allow the abuse to continue.  We need balance.

We need to be tolerant of people that have handicaps that prevent them from working.  Or, from working in high paying jobs.  Not everyone can be a rocket scientist or CEO.

Without welfare, people are going to suffer.  Without welfare, others will not have to pay as much in taxes.  Good for one and bad for another.  Or, abuse welfare and it is not good for anyone.

I'm using welfare as a general example.  I'm not stepping on toes or attempting to single out any particular group.  I could have used heath care, immigration, prisons and the court systems, g*y rights, or numerous other topics for an example.  The point is balance, tolerance/acceptance, and giving up a little for the betterment of society as a whole.

  6. We all need air and water to live. I think we can all agree on that.

  7. This is a good point.  It is easy to get distracted by our differences, rather than focusing on what ALL Americans need--food, education, health care, freedoms under the Constitution....

  8. The only time we, as americans, stand together is immediately after a disaster. Then, once things calm a little, we all start complaining about how it was handled. Some on one side and some on the other, then the undecideds bouncing in between. To be able to come together and make a difference, we need to learn to accept that not everyone has the same point of view and allow them that. Doesn't make one right and one wrong, just different.

We need to quit expecting and demanding the government establish laws prohibiting and allowing different things in our life and take some personal responsibility for our own actions. Raise your own children, don't expect society to do it for you.

We have become a society where everyone is out for themselves, not the betterment of society and mankind. Then to make ourselves feel better, we send aid overseas instead of helping the starving and homeless in our own neighborhoods. We need to take better care of our own citizens before we start reaching out to help everyone else in the world.

  9. I completely agree with you Matt..  there are too many people EVERYWHERE...  bickering about useless things.. the dems vs. cons.  is a good laugh..

while the dems are blaming the cons and vice versa.. a state of chaos is being formed right under everyone's eyes..

I say wake the h**l up..

the dems and the cons are the same.. same agenda, same goals..

  10. Yes, I agree with that statement. Our children are the ones suffering from this divide, they need us to take back our power to make the working family what America stands for again, not commercialism. If we can't agree on anything, then lets agree that something needs to be done to fix what is wrong. Both sides can't deny that we have a problem with our system, it isn't working because of  corporate funding. It shouldn't be allowed, and it's obvious to everybody on both sides that it's hurting what is in our best interests, but benefiting what's in the best interests of corporate America.

  11. It does seem that Constitutional rights is where we could stand together. We are all to blame for not paying attention to what our representatives are doing. Once we elect them, we forget them. We have to start watching what they really vote for, not what they say. Every time there's a controversy, they slip something in the bill that erodes our rights.

  12. How about keeping this nation safe and prosperous.
