  1. it depends u can use unarmed combat otherwise for gun sword and shuriken stuff id look more underground or in japan

  2. Yeah in Japan on the show Ninja Warrior

  3. Well you're in luck they do have competitions for Ninjitsu experts and there is an organization that sponsors fighters using Ninjitsu. SWAN is an organization dedicated to modernizing Ninjitsu for combat and sport use and will host tournaments plus sponsor fighters to fight in local MMA shows in their state. The other only organization that is open to all styles is the tournament that made Frank Dux famous in the movie Bloodsport and that is the Kumite. The requirement for the Kumite is that you are a Black Belt with verifiable training plus you got to fill out a membership application and fighter application before your "private invitation" is given out to you to fight in the Kumite. You can get into any organization of fighting with the right sources of your fighting expertise and if they feel you can make them lots of money. One website that hosts links to upcoming MMA events is MMA Recruiter.com and its a place that also posts events that need up and coming fighters in a quickness to fill fight cards and to make a name for themselves. Its really on the promoters themselves whether they want a ninja in their fighter roster or a more common and less ridiculed fighting style based fighter that fans can relate to more.

  4. mma tournaments is about the only ones i can think of. ...if you're good enough to qualify that is.

  5. Well, yes and no, but there have been a couple Bujinkan trained fighters in the UFC as well. The whole idea is foolish: why on earth would you take training meant to eliminate your limits and put limits on it?

Truthfully, the techniques the are unique to ninjutsu ryuha tend to focus on escaping, which isn't really conducive to competing in a ring or cage or whatever... Now if you're referring to the Takamatsu-den traditions (Genbukan, Jinenkan, and Bujinkan), then these schools don't teach solely ninjutsu (just as ninja didn't exclusively train in ninjutsu, but the various disciplines of taijutsu as well). Many of the techniques taught parallel techniques in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, for instance (which isn't hard to figure out, seeing BJJs origins)...

Really, if you consider the premises behind ninpo and ninjutsu, using them in a contest of ego is pretty counter productive... Kind of hard to let go of your desires and ego by entering a contest to prove you can fight... So I guess the real answer would be: A ninjutsu expert wouldn't participate in a competition where he could apply the skill. All around, it just wouldn't be worth it.
