  1. if you ar elooking for something that looks  mac os x and behave  like mac os x but isnt mac os  x then dont hold  your breath ubunut looks a bity like it but mac os x is mac os  x

you want os  x  ? get an apple computer

same goes for garage band it only comes with  apple computers

  2. windows pc with photoshop cs3, buy a webcam or a windows pc laptop with built in webcam theres tons of music programs on windows.

  3. Tons of laptops come with built in web cams so just look around. OSX is smooth and nice looking but I could never justify to myself spending 200% of the hardware cost on a computer just because it has the Apple name on it... so just find a nice Windows based PC.

Photoshop is available for Windows and Mac. It is very expensive on either operating system. It is $650 for Photoshop CS3 but you could probably find an older version online or at a store for pretty cheap.

As for Garage Band, it is OSX only but their are some windows based alternatives like Mixcraft.

  4. you can get a PC, windows has programs VERY similar to those your talking about; Photoshop for windows is available, Acoustica Mixcraft works like garageband and a webcam is all you need for the camera.

  5. No!

The Apple OS, features and performance cannot be duplicated or even approximated by lesser equipment (which includes ALL other brands of pc hardware and software),

So ... why not just go with the real thing?

  6. There's programs like Garage Band on Windows, but most aren't free or cheap. Adobe Audition is more of a pro-editing thing.

Aside from that, any fast PC with good RAM and a fast drive would run Photoshop fast enough. Most laptops have the built-in webcam.

  7. No. Each OS has each cons and pros.

    -Windows Vista

    --Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate

---An extra Color Scheme, Aero Glass with transparent blur on the window borders and Toolbar.

---You can use a secondary screen.

---These versions are on of the best to pick for laptops.

---You can share documents and collaborate with Windows Meeting space.

---You can automatically back up files.

    --Home Premium and Ultimate

---Windows Media Center, able to watch live TV with a TV tuner card.

    ---Easily make DVDs.

    ---Have extra games.

    ---Create HD movies.

    --Business and Ultimate

---Scan, fax, and receive documents and images.

    ---Protect against hardware failure.

    ---Remotely access your business resources.

--All (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate)

    ---Most secure windows ever!

---Quickly find what you need with Start Search.

    ---Easier networking connectivity!

    That's all I'm putting.

  8. I think you're interested in an apple Macintosh clone, but apple does not license their products, so the only way to get to use Mac OS is with a mac.  There is a way to install the operating system in a laptop, but i don't know the specifics.

Maybe you should look for programs that are alike garage band for the PC, since the other requirements you have are met by most PC's.

    Hope it helps.
