  1. The Endangered Species Act (ESA) is legislation specific to the United States.  It has no impact, sway, or enforceability in Malaysia -- sad to say.

    One of the more liberal and green political groups in Malaysia though considers the ESA as a solid guideline for what they would like to enact as law someday.  Malaysia has rich, unique and diverse ecosystems that could certainly benefit from laws being passed that model what our own ESA provides for.
