and your child's favorite foods later on?

I know this is far fetched and I don't see how it could even be possible. But, just for fun, have you found this to be true?

I have to ask b/c my oldest sons favorite foods are what I craved and ate a lot of during pregnancy.

Pancakes and chicken fajitas, to be exact...not eaten together, of course, ha-ha. (If the same is true for my youngest, he is going to *love* spaghetti, LOL!) He asks for these foods on a regular basis.... WEIRD!

  1. Actually, my mother drank lots of tomato juice with lemon-pepper while pregnant with me, and I can't stand the stuff!

There may be some connection, but it isn't fool-proof, I guess.

  2. I'm not sure yet... But if this is true, Johnny will be wanting to eat Steak, Egg Salad Sandwiches, Cherry Turnovers and Snickers bars all day every day, LOL

  3. I'm not a real picky eater, but there are things I don't care for.  My son however, has always eaten anything and everything!  He is not a finicky eater at all!!  I think because we introduced new foods all the time and even foods that his dad and I didn't like, he now like most everything and is willing to try new foods.

  4. I ate a LOT of fruit when I was pregnant with my daughter and yes, fruit is her favorite. She would be happy with an all fruit diet. The only fruits she doesn't eat are watermelon and cantaloupe.

So far, with this pregnancy, it's been fruity drinks. Like slushies or smoothies. Hmmmm... we'll see if that one comes true.

  5. My son is 10 months old, so he is still too little for me to know yet. But, if he does like the things I ate a lot of while pregnant, he is going to want a cheeseburger every day.

  6. I have no idea. There actually might though. I always heard you got cravings for things the baby needed. If the baby needed more calcium you might crave a milkshake or if he/she needed iron you might crave some steak (cooked thoroughly of course).

  7. When my mom was pregnant with me she craved ice cream, which is one of my favorite things too.  When she was pregnant with my brother it was Italian food, same for him~he likes most things Italian.

If the same holds true, my little girl will love red meat.  It is strange, I guess it's just what they get used to in the womb.

  8. My mom loved potatoes no matter how they were cooked or made when she was pregnant with me and guess what my favorite food is! Now I am pregnant and I crave it just the same.  So I think it is related..lol!!
