Is there any country in the world where people eat snakes?

I grew up in California and we regularly caught and ate rattle snakes. they are delicious and plentiful and we were poor. My three brothers and I were even featured on the front page of our local newspaper in 1971 or 72 during the beef shortage.

My father, who taught us how to catch, prepare and cook (barbecue) rattle snakes said that it has always been common to eat them in California. Although we are all now in our 40s and 50s we still eat them at family get togethers.

I also know that in Thailand they drink snake blood. It isn't bad either.

Yes there are many countries where people eat snakes. I am sure of China, Japan and Korea.

I believe in Army it is a suggested survival technique.

There are plenty. People will eat just about anything if its abundant enough. One of the perks of being top of the food chain.

Here in America! In Arizona you can get fried rattlesnake bites. tastes just like chicken only chewier.

Yes, people in the US eat rattlesnake. I hear it tastes like chicken, though I have not personally tried it myself.

Snakes can and are consumed as food in a variety of countries around the world.

In Chinese world, " Eat Snake" means idling,which meant all people in this world "eat snake".
