  1. Many brands of bottled water in the U.S. have always been more expensive than gasoline, just look in the cooler in your local convenience store and do the math.

  2. the pumped up price of water is the one really more expensive compared to gasoline. i just don't know about tap water, or any other kinds you can think of. i don't know any country also but for sure, it will be in some poor nations or to countries that has a few water resources. see the article if you want to know some interesting facts.

  3. Africa

  4. I cannot quote specifics as it has been a while. But, I remember in the UAE, Dubai and such rich oil-producing (and desert) countries gasoline was practically free to citizens while water was a precious resource and quite expensive.

Those without a national ID card though pay a much higher gasoline rate.

I am actually wondering if that system has changed at all over the last twenty years.

  5. in the United States an 11 oz container or water is 1.50

  6. Bottled water in single serving size is more costly than gasoline at the pumps, right here in Canada.

But our water out of the tap is close to free, fractions of a cent per litre.

So, is it really the water that is expensive?

Keep in mind that Evian spelled backward  describes the buyer of bottled water.
