well, to prevent it from getting worse, avoid alchohol, don't eat food before you sleep, try to avoid red peppers and such, don't smoke, exercise, try elevating your head when you sleep. Once the lower esophageal epithelium has changed, it's not likely to return to its normal state rapidly, but what you want to avoid is the progession of change into cancer, so whatever you do, get it checked regularly. Also, eating smaller and more frequent meals helps some people, but can be very inconvenient to do.

Nothing helpful in homeopathy or herbals.

There are several treatments that are under investigation (experimental at this time).

The only known cure (for now) is surgical removal.

that's funny, I just had a patient in this morning who was diagnosed with this (are you her? LOL)

My understanding is that it's caused by GERD- so you need to stay away from irritating food & drink- no spicy food, no caffeine, chocolate, alcohol, greasy food etc.

Aloe juice is soothing to the GI system- like putting aloe on a cut. It may help heal & soothe the area.  Just take 1tbsp alone or in water or juice once a day.

tissue that is constantly irritated has a chance to progess to cancer, so doing things to keep the irritation down to a minimum can help.
