Is there any device to decoding mini dv tape to computer without the camcorder?

I recently made a short movie with my friends and we were renting the camcorder. Now we already return the camcorder but we have no time to render it. Is there any device to render the mini dv tape to computer without using a camcorder? Thx!

you can rent a MiniDV tape deck, but those are about 200-300 bucks for rental for a day.  Try to borrow another camcorder and capture the footage with that.

There's nothing like the previous poster suggested - that's for VHS-C only.  MiniDV tape decks are available, but they're more expensive than a camcorder.   Your only realistic options are to get hold of another camcorder and find a PC with a firewire connection or get someone else to capture (not render) it for you.
