Is there any difference between educated and uneducated,in this present world?

I think that educated people are better able to make informed decisions about important issues in politics and in their own lives.

Demographically, the more educated an individual is, the more likely they are to be liberal. Coincidence?

The problem with most people's view of being educated is it involves a  useless piece of paper earned by remembering facts long enough to make a passing grade. I feel you can become a more educated, well rounded person by extracurricular involvement. I, for example, learned more in a week long trip to Paris/London and through my involvement with my g*y campus organization then I would ever hope to learn memorizing facts out of a book just long enough to pass a test.
