  1. yes. running the street is so much better if your training, while running on a cross trainer is for loosing weight.


  2. you don't want to run in the street, it will mess your ankles and knees up, with all that hard concrete. so don't listen to davethem he is a idiot

  3. I prefer running in the streets as there's more to look at and that keeps me going, however it's much harder on your joints and the body as a whole than a c/trainer.

    Cross trainers are great for keeping the distance going - just not much to see - and also alot better for your ankles and knee joints.  Up the incline and set it up infront of a telly if you can, then you can watch something rather than hearing each step you take...!!

  4. Yes. Running on a threadmill has some advantages, less impact for your joints and bones etc. However it works some of the muscles a bit less, especially buttocks. You can counteract it this by increasing the incline.

  5. more resistance on the road from the surface and wind etc. Resistance is futile
