  1. no, not really, there are some minor formulation differences but really no big deal

  2. No one adds WATER to the tank.  Christ what the h**l d**n guy?  That will just make the car run like **** or not run at all, it will be easy to catch the perpetrator, and state regulators do NOT look kindly at that kind of bullcrap.

Otherwise, some companies put more additives...detergents and such, in the fuel they sell than do others.  I've had no ill effect using cheap fuel almost exclusively, though...and if you run a fuel system cleaner once a year or so you probably won't either.

  3. i use to work on big trucks and did all the work on a tanker company its true there is absolutely no difference in the fuel and the mane problem in gas stations is the age and how often they fuel up you never want to go to a gas station that is just getting there delivery because it stirs up the c**p at the bottom of the tank and the mane problem with water is condensation builds in the tanks so always go to the newer stations you know they don't have leeks in there tanks

  4. All the fuel companies load their tankers at the big refineries (there are 9 refineries in the U.K.)..

At Fawley, for example, you will a queue of tankers from Shell, Tescos, BP, Jet, etc., all waiting to load up  They all get their fuel from the same location.

HOWEVER, just after loading the with fuel, they will then add octaine boosters, detergents or whatever chemicals each company wants, depending on who the fuel is for.

It's the various additives that make the difference to the petrol or diesel - the raw fuel is all the same.

  5. octane ratings in some places as a premium fuel.

  6. In USA, they are exactly the same gasoline.  They pump it out of the same pipe line, then load it on different tankers with different company names on it.  Then delivery it to different gas stations.

The was on a TV show called Modern Marvel (in USA).

    Good Luck...

  7. Nah, most of them come from the same place. There are some shady places that will add water to the tank and stuff, but that isn't really common.
