Me and my husband are re-tiling our kitchen counters and bathroom counters. We fell in love with the mosaic style counter tiling. Does any one know a easy way to do it? What is needed to complete it and to do. Is there any websites with the directions on it. Has anyone done and can tell me how easy or hard it is.

  1. Home Depot teaches free tiling classes once a month. Maybe you could attend one to learn more about it before starting. I do know that you have to buy backer board for underneath.

  3. I agree, they're absolutely beautiful.  But, revisit your math skills!  If you're asking about sheets of mosaic tile which are already on a mesh base, that's not as difficult as starting from scratch with individual tiles.  Not really sure what you're planning, but let me give you a link (see below).

My mother renovated her kitchen counter tops and loves mosaics, too.  I was concerned about the grout lines on her counter top, so I picked out beautiful porcelain tiles (6"x6") and then added tumbled marble mosaic tiles to the back splash.  It's absolutely gorgeous.
