  1. I supported the Chinese kayakers because those poor kids looked like they were handed paddles/kayaks for the first time on the morning before the event, and were then thrown into the water :))

It was hilarious, but good on them for getting through the event without drowning :))

  2. I support and love most of the Chinese teams, but I want my USA basketball team to crush the competition. The Chinese fans are wonderful and full of energy. The Chinese people have re-energized the spirit of the Olympic Games!

  3. I do and I think all this hate mongering and outright lying and ignorant comments about China and against the Chinese has only served to underline why so many people in the world do NOT like Americans.

Its sad for the decent Americans but those who have an overblown sense of self importance and believe that the American way is the only way (oh please can we all have an off shore island to torture and kill people we dont like ! , a terrorist for president, and an uneducated mass of people promoting hatred for their country every time they sit down at their computer) are making it impossible for any Americans traveling anywhere outside their own country.

Unfortunately for these ignorant people the majority of people in other countries are educated about other countries, have the sense to weed out the lies from the facts and can ALL see the petty squabbling, fault finding, and outright lying that goes on via the media.

Its called BAD sportsmanship.  And its happened at EVERY olympics they have ever been at.

THIS coming from a country who has a terrorist dictator for a president! Bush never even won the election ! He just took over the country with his own agenda, to wage war on the rest of the world and the Americans never said a word or lifted a finger to stop a terrorist regime from taking over their own country.

I dont know how they even DARE to mention human rights. Or Govt control - home land security? What is that if not the Govt spying on and monitoring the activities of all their citizens?

Where do people go if they dont agree with the US Govt or speak out against it?  They get a tropical vacation in Cuba.

I have a lot of American friends and its a bloody shame they are suffering the backlash from these louts.

Yes there are a lot of people supporting China and cheering for China !

  4. I do!

Living in Beijing for 3 years, I have seen all the preparation the Chinese people have put into it and how excited they are.  Also, they have been really good sports about everything compared to some of my fellow Americans.  I was out walking around tonight in Beijing, and everyone was watching the women's volleyball game, and when they lost to the US team, people just put it behind them, no complaining or whining at all.

And it means so much to the athletes to win in front of their home crowd.  I watched the men's gymnastics team competition and the Chinese team had tears in their eyes after their victory.  It was so moving I almost started crying myself.

  5. Hi, my co worker is a foreigner. He supports the China team

  6. I'm watching the Olympics for the OLYMPIC GAMES. I want to see good teams go head to head.

I am American. I like some of the American teams. I also like some of the Chinese teams. I was rooting for the Chinese divers. But I was also rooting for the American Men's Basketball team.

In Volleyball I'm going for China or Japan's womens volleyball teams.

Other sports like running and weight lifting I go for American's or whatever sports player I think is cool and has some good skills.

To sum it up, there are some sports that I support the Chinese teams and other sports that I support American teams, Brazil etc.

At the end of the day I'm just watching good athletes compete for the gold.

  7. yes,

    those competitions

which my country's sportsmen don't take part in

  8. Me. Even though I am from the US, since the games are supposed to be about sport and not politics I pull for China and small nation teams. The US people -- many of them -- and the media are all such bad sports I can't abide by them.

  9. I support the best athletes, whether they are my home team (which would be American), or from another country-China included.

I do like seeing the competition between the Americans and the Chinese, just because I love both of those countries.

  10. Any foreigner as in no-Chinese?  Well, I do.  In fact, they're way less-hated than the american team, thanks to Bush.
