Is there any gain from PFE and GE stocks in short term?

my friend bought pfe an GE arond 19 an 32 respectively las week....

Both are stuck in a major downtrend and made new lows on Friday. I would expect in the short term, although there may be a little bouce after Friday, these stocks will continue lower for the near future.
