  1. Well there is runescape. I have quit but basically it's your typical mmorpg, leveling skills such as magic, archery etc. You use woodcutting, fishing crafting and numerous other skills to gain money. Then you can buy items that better your character. It lasted me 3 years of regular game play so it's worth a try. There is also a members section where you get extra minigames, team based activites and new items and quests. Non-members introduces you to the game and has limited gameplay but is still amusing. Bounty hunter (where you can attack other players) and Fist of guthix are usually enjoyable.

World of warcraft is also another mmorpg which I think is quite pathetic. Anyway, apparently by those who play it, it is good (I'm sure you've heard of wow before) with a choice between the evil horde or alliance to begin with. Good graphics (unlike runescape) and a variety of things to do - this game you may very well enjoy. Although it is deemed a great game the price they charge you per month to play it (15 dollars) is almost highway robbery in my opinion.

MU Online must be downloaded, yet has decent graphics. You can choose from several races but I'm not very experienced with the game and have't actively involed myself in playing it so I do not know much more than that, perhaps you may like to check some reviews up on it.

Maplestory is another mmorpg and once again I know very little about it. You start off at Maple island and as you progress you choose to be a thief, mage, warrior or archer I believe. All 4 games allow you to custom create your characters with hairstyles and looks etc.

Well, hope I helped and good luck in your search.
