I'm wondering if there are any gas stations that carry higher than 91 octane as premium. IE: 93 octane premium. I used to live in Maryland and they had: 87-regular, 89-mid grade, 91-also mid grade, then 93-premium. I now live in Salt Lake City area. If anyone has noticed a gas station that carries 93 octane as premium please post name and address (roughly) of where it is. Thank you.

  1. 93 is not needed in Utah due to the altitude.  The higher you go, the lower the octane number is needed.  Every 1000 feet in altitude shifts the needed octane by 1.  So if you are in SLC, gasoline with 89 octne rating is equal to the 93 octane you got in Maryland.

Edit- Maybe I wasn't entirely clear in my answer.  My answer is that nobody carries it.  I also tried to be helpful and explain why nobody carries it.

Idiot?  Ouch.  No need for name calling.  I'm just trying to help.  If you don't like my answer just don't select it.
