Is there any genuine difference between being a company MD and a CEO? Or are they just different titles?

  1. To me MD that is a company's market director or else medical director of a for profit group the latter. The CEO of an company is not the chief financial officer CFO or chief operating officer COO but really the executive officer as in chief executive officer or the corporation boss. It makes a big difference to employees and stock holders.


  2. A GM is a member of the board of director of a company. A CEO is chief executive of the management team. Thats the main difference.

  3. It has to do with the structure of the corporation.

    Definitely there is a difference. MD must be a Director of the Company, but CEO is not a Director of a company.
