  1. There are loads of home-based jobs that are not scams. They are just very low paid. Of course there are lots of scams as well

  2. There are a lot of different home based jobs that are not scams.

You actually have a few different options. There are a couple different home jobs you can do. Understand that they are minimum wage earnings, so you won't make a sufficient amount of money. After taxes, you will end up making below minimum wage. Here's a couple URL's you can take a look at and apply.  I can't guarnatee that you'll get the job, home jobs are high in demand because of the gas prices which causes food and everything else to go up, but you can apply.  These two are not online, but you asked for home based jobs.

If you need more then a minimum wage job, then I suggest you take a look at a home based business opportunities for both online as well as off line businesses. There are plenty of options out there through many different industries. My husband and I have had our home based business for over six years now. It's an incredible adventure!

If you'd like some ideas on home based businesses, I've created a blog on my yahoo 360 page on this topic. A lot of information on my blog on scams and what to look for, reports, bbb and a lot of other things you should read on.

  4. No.  If there were, the demand would be high... thereby reducing the willing payment price for the service.  In other words, if you were to find a job like this, they wouldn't pay you much.

  8. There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills (fast typing, 10 key), may want you to know excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but it is rare.

One option is to freelance and bid for data entry jobs. However, you are bidding along with many people and often other countries-so you may have to bid really low just to get a job and/or project.

Another option is to offer data entry services to businesses in your area. It can be done, I know people who have done this but it is not easy to do.

  9. I wouldn't trust any program you see on line, and those cash by filling out survey things are a bad joke, and you will no doubt get a slew of those people trying to get you to sign up under them answering. I tried it to see if it would work for my kids, and it's a joke that only partially delivers, and you do what they require and 3/4 of the time they don't even pay the pittance they promised. I tried it for 8 hours one evening and made $41 they said, but only $12 went through ... do the math, it sucks, unless you scam others into doing it and scamming others into doing it ... it only works to pay much of anything as a pyramid scheme ripping others off.

The best place to find a home opportunity is by using your talents to do work for businesses at home as an independent contractor, and some even have employees working at home.

Business  love independent contractors because they do work by the piece and they don't have to worry about finding things for them to do or managing their time at work. They don't have to pay all the extra taxes or keep them in work. You can make a lot more as an independent contractor as well, because you focus on doing work by the piece and they pay better because you cost them less and do only exactly what they need, no busy work to take up time.

Good Luck ... there is no easy answer to this thing, but there seldom is a completely simple road to anything really good, but it's definitely doable.

edit: I started this with no answers showing yet, but see? Here they come wanting you to sign up. Don't do it, the online survey thing is a waste of time, it's a scam that doesn't give what they promise. Plus you have to give a lot of personal information which will be sold, you will have 100s of extra emails a day and you give permission to call you so you will get all kinds of calls from scammers and pollsters.

And don't trust anyone who mentions God to get your trust, oldest scam line in the book.

edit: and now they are gone! lol
