Is there any good FREE English - Japanese translators, or just translators in general?

Well, what I was looking for in an English to Japanese translator was something that not only translated it into characters...

but giving it the english read as well.

For instance, from watching Death Note, I know that "Death God" translates somehow to Shinigami. (Death = Shini God = Gami)

From playing teh Pokeymanz, Names translate.

But what about everyday words?

And THAT's what I want in a translator.

Try a Japanese-English dictionary. You can get one at the bookstore for 5 dollars. Japanese-English dictionaries have the romaji, hiragana, and kanji.
