Is there any good restaraunts with "homemade" food in the Antelope Valley?

I live in Lancaster and I haven't really seen any...all there is here is fast food and the big-chain restaraunts...

Karens country kitchen on Palmdale Blvd is good down home cookin'.  I've only been for breakfast which was excellent.  

Also,  The Rustin House in Lancaster for mexican food.  I"ve been & it's pretty good.  Especially the chicken tortilla soup!  Yum!

Unless you know of someone who makes the food in their house and sells it, there is no such thing as "homemade" restaurant food. The closest thing would be called "homestyle."

That said, you didn't mention what kind of food you were interested in. Any cuisine can be "homestyle."

** I vote for Karen's.  We live in Tehachapi and travel down the hill for a good breakfast there.  It's in Palmdale and worth the drive for us!
