there is a pretty good open gym at Pan Am park(centralia and charlemagne) in the gym on sunday nights at 6pm and tuesdays at 7:45. It costs four dollars. There is also open gym volleyball at long beach state, but I haven't been there and I don't know exactly when it is or what the competition is like.

I am not sure about the definition of "good" gym :)

If you think paying $10 guest fee would make it a good gym, try this one:

Personally I have played at the La Mirada Gym and it was pretty good, with some young players jumping up and down (and amazed by my serves and blocks :)).

Here below is the link to all available open gyms in LA area. Make sure you call the gym before heading over as they may not be open on a certain day. Don't be surprised if any gym collects a higher fee than documented.

Ask around to see whether someone knows at which gym LA_United is playing. They are good... VERY GOOD.
