My gums are really inflamed, but flossing doesn't seem to work very well. Is there anything I can do to aid in de-inflaming my gums?

  1. Gargling with salt water can be very helpful.

  2. How about trying a water pik? I haven't tried one, yet, but would like to try it, as I think it might help my gums. Good luck.

  3. swollen and painful gums are warning signs that you are under attack gum disease.  be wary that signs of gum disease often appears in the advanced state.  the best course of action is to seek the help of a dentist.  be able to keep and pay attention to a good program of oral habits.  if gum disease is left without any treatment, tooth loss will eventually happen.  water can keep bad bacteria at bay, so better keep the mouth hydrated by drinking adequate amount of water.  visit http://www.oramd.co.uk for more gum care tips.

  4. flossing is not enough if you have gingivitis, the very first thing you should do is visit your dentist and have a general  oral prophylaxis to remove plaque which is the primary cause of gingivitis or the inflammation of gums. ask your dentist the proper way of brushing teeth. she might give you medications to reduce the inflammation. so hurry, don't waste time before it get worst!
