Quite a bit of the tax we pay goes towards education so it would be fare for the government to give us something in return.

  1. Nope, sorry.

I don't get money back for sending my daughter to private school either. Nor do people whose kids have grown up, or who don't have kids at all. But we all benefit from having an educated population, and that's really what we're paying the tax for.

  2. I've never heard of funding being available in the UK. You still have to pay taxes even if you send your child to a school the government doesn't fund, don't you?
