than that for a domestic pet? You feed them whenever they want and you let them c**p on your front lawn and the worst most people do to them is have them castrated (which no man wants)

  1. Owww!  The castration part must be NO FUN!  LOL.

Yes, people definitely love their pets.  The really sad part is that the animals that we slaughter for food are treated horribly.  Poultry birds have it a lot worse than cows and pigs do.  Poultry birds are not protected by the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act, or the Animal Welfare Act.  Chickens and turkeys have their beaks and toes cut off when they're chicks, live in cramped conditions, bred and drugged-up to grow so large that their legs can't support them, and are carelessly thrown into and off of trucks, and forced to smell the ammonia fumes from their own waste (along with crawling around in it for their entire lives). They also have their throats slit while still conscious, and are submerged in scalding hot water to de-feather them (often times, while still fully conscious). They're beaten and kicked around too, and sometimes even sadistically tortured by farm and/or slaughterhouse workers.

Some people might say that those animals are "just food", but consider the fact that, in China and other parts of Asia, dogs and cats are "just food".  They're treated just like pigs and cows are here in the US.
