Question:

Is there any hair dye that is good for your hair or won't further damaged it after its been damaged by bleach?

Back in December my hair was bleached blonde, and then had pink and turquoise streaks in it... and then I stripped the colors out, and used a toner and and a filler and dyed it all dark brown. Now, my roots have grown out and these are dark brown -- my natural hair color -- and the ends have faded to lighter brown.

I want to dye it all close to the color of my roots (dark brown-black) but I don't want to further damage the condition of it.

  1. You should definitely use henna or a coloring product call Bigen.  It's improves the condition of your hair and last for a while.  You can get Bigen from Sally beauty supply, but you might have to go on-line to get some henna or find a indian specialty store.

  2. As you have learned from experience, chemicals that change the color of your hair also damage it.  You are on the right track to having your natural color back.  You can have the ends that are fading to a lighter color cut off, either all at once or gradually.   In any case, it probably looks better than "blonde" hair with dark brown roots.  I've never understood how people can stand to wear that particular look.

  3. dying it darker is better for your hair then bleaching it. just make sure you use good shampoo
