Is there any help for me? Please advise?

Hello... Back at the end of Sept. I was found uncousious by my mom... I was rushed to emergency where they did not think I was going to live...

I was on a tidyne (sic) bed... which rotates you and keeps your lungs from getting hard...I had pnemonia I was in a coma for 3 weeks

When I woke up I could not talk (trach), write, or walk... I was a total mess!

The the worse news I was not HIV pos but full blown AIDS. I had it for 10 years my doctor told me. They were surprised I was alive my counts were out of this world!

Well I am in California and have been on State Disabilty for since Oct. I did apply for SSDI but have not head from anyone filled out all the forms.

And then to come to find out my job is not waiting for me and my memory is shot.... kinda unfair!

What options are there???

can you extend your State Disabilty???

My doctor is there for me and I go to all appointments.... please help any suggestions thanks!

Keep trying for SSDI, it may take years of persistence especially, if you are under fifty years of age. Keep after your social workers to extend your state disability, the more you call them, the more visible you become and they eventually tire of hearing your voice.  Keep going to your appointments and consider more physicians to verify your claims. I have a friend who had three-doctors sign-off before he received benefits. Have you contacted an employment attorney about your job? Perhaps you could get a settlement from prior employer if you were wrongly discharged. Good luck!
