  1. If you have standing water, use a wet dry shop vac to suck the excess out of the tub and the drain, this way all that goo won't go back down the drain once the clog is cleared. Plus if the clog is near the surface it may just clear up the whole problem

    2. Once the water is gone and you can see what you're dealing with, remove the drain cover. This tub doesn't have one, but if you have a stopper it's probably filled with hair and gunk. Remove as much as you can and then soak it in white vinegar to clean it.

    3. If you don't have a stopper you'll need something to reach down into the drain to clear the way, a crotchet hook or a wire coat hanger will work well. Slip it into the drain, spin it around and pull up whatever you can. (A little tip, if you choose a crotchet hook, tape a string to the end of it so if it happens to slip you won't lose it down the drain).

    4. Once you've removed any problems near the surface, use a plunger to clear up any clogs further down the line. Then flush the drain with hot water to make sure it is flowing freely

Pack the drain or plug hole with as much Baking Soda as possible, boil up a pint of White Vinegar. very very carefully pour the vinegar down the drain, keeping your face well out of the way, there will be a violent reaction, let it all sit there for two hours and then flush thoroughly

Pour half cup of Baking Sodadown th edrain followed by by half cup white vinegar Cover the drain for a few minutes while it fizzes Pour a quart or two o water down the drain to flush it

An alternate method Pour half cup  of salt and half cup of Baking Sodadown the drain followed by six cups of boiling water Let sit overnight then flush with water

The combination of baking soda and vinegar can break down fatty acids into soap and glycerin allowing the clog to wash down the drain This is a safe to use with garbage disposals

Caution: Do not use any of these methods after a commercial drain opener has been used or is still present in standing water Good Luck !

  2. boiling water

  3. My remedy is one that unclogs drains and also freshens smelly drains...

Empty 1/2 box of Bicarb Soda into drain

Pour at least 500mls of vinegar (it doesn't matter what type)

Leave for 5- 10 mins and then pour lots of boiling water down the drain...

You may need to repeat this several times if it is a stubborn clog,

    Hope it helps,

  4. Homemade Remedy For Clogged Drains

If you have a clogged drain and cannot run out to the store to get a commercial drain product, try this remedy.

    1) Remove all water from the sink. You may have to dip it out of the sink with a cup and place it in a bucket.

    2) Pour one cup of baking soda down the drain.

    3) Follow that with one cup of table salt.

    4) Next, pour one half cup of white vinegar down the drain.

    5) Allow the drain to set for ten minutes then flush  it with two quarts of boiling water...
