Is there any humane way to remove rats?

Question

Hi we have a nest of rats which are not hurting anyone, but I really do need them to go as the neighbours have put down poisions and I know how inhumane it is to the little creatures.

I will not trap them or poision them I just want them to move on. Is there anyone that knows a kinder way to move them on. We have cats that come into the garden looking for them and also us personally have a big German Shepherd dog to frighten them away but they still stay happily.

Can anyone help please.

get a "have a heart" trap bait it with cherrios

you can go to the humane society and get live animal traps that are used for feral cats and set them using foods like grains they will be attracted to and when you catch them relocate them to a safer area. Be careful when you release them they don't turn on you and bite you.
