  1. Not exactly, but severe scoliosis can do something similar, and of course there are cases of situs inversus in which the apex is on the right, though the mediastinum is still central.

  2. i don't think it is possible to have your heart in you 'right chest'...because people bodies aren't built that way.

if someone did, either they would die right away, have a lot of heart conditions or miraculously survive

    >.<

  3. As the above authors pointed out, situs inversus doesn't pose a problem, per se, as long as it's recognized by history, physical or radiographically.

The only caveat is in the subgroup of patients who have Kartagener's syndrome (around 25% of patients with dextrocardia).

  4. In situs inversus, there is infact NO pathological effect whatsoever because EVERYTHING is mirrored. (Except like he said already, the doctors being really ******* confused at first)

There are other alterations, however, that can cause dextrocardia and when on its own, it can cause several problems.

Look up some malformations in an Embryology book.

  5. Situs Interversus is a condition in which many bodily organs are on  the side of the body opposite of what is normal.  People with the condition do not suffer many abnormalities compared to normal people.  The only disadvantage I can see is if they are receiving medical attention without the doctors or nurses having been forewarned about the condition.
