  1. Australia does have a shortage of skilled tradespeople.

To check whether your qualifications will make it easy for you to get a job, best to contact a job agency and tell them about your experience.

Jobs and agencies are listed on seek.com.au.The SKILLED Group has info about how to get started.

Good luck. You would love living here :)

  2. You will have no problem finding a job no matter what state in Australia you decide to go to.

Before you can work on any building site you must have a health and safety card.

Each state has their own health and safety card,so if you wish to work in 3 different states, you have to have each states health and safety card.

They are not very hard to get.You have to do a day course and then will be sent your card my mail.

To get a health and safety card you through TAFE when you get here or you can go on this website below.

They only deal with the green card in N.S.W and the blue card in WA,but it might help you.

  6. Most skilled trades are in high demand in Australia.   Trades like electricians in particular should be high demand (especially in Western Australia).  Australia has a huge shortage of skilled tradesmen at the moment due to the boom in the Mining sector and years of government neglect of apprentice traineeships.  You shouldn't have any problems finding an electrician job.
