  1. hi mark go to www.craigslist.org they list jobs all the time also if you want to do extra work movies click on tv and film they pay by the day cash and feed you fun for a 1st job..

  2. Some hiring is happening, but temp-work is easier to find.

But, you’re going to need a resume with the following:

    Your contact info:

Your objective: depends on the job for which you’re applying

Your experience: again, tailored to the job specifics

can be training, volunteer work, previous jobs, whatever.

Education & Skills: this is an OPTIONAL section, and while not everyone has a great education, most everyone has skills.

Make the resume short and specific.

If you’re NE or out near Gresham, try Bi-Mart.

Also, I once worked for Labor Ready St. Johns. The biggest customer was Freightliner – we sent 20-30 people each day – to wash new trucks.

They even supply rubber boots so your feet stay dry.

In Washington Cty., sign with various temp services like Volt. These agencies provide shipping clerks and such to high tech firms – you’ll learn a lot that way – all of the latest software used in material logistics – the planning and tracking of materials into, through, and out of a company.

Get out the phone book and look up Labor Ready to make money now; but make an effort to contract with Volt, Manpower, and others who specialize in material handlers at technology firms. Goodwill Industries also hires directly AND has a temporary service. Check them out!
