Is there any kind of engine swap on a dodge neon to make it faster?

thinking about buying a dodge neon and i wanna know if there is any kind of swap i can do to make it faster

The most common engine swap is the 2.4L 4-cylinder found in PT Cruiser and some other Chrysler cars.  Those 2.4 engines are relatively easy to turbo charge as well ( or you can swap in a factory turbocharged engine from a SRT4 or PT Cruiser GT ).

Even the base 2.0L engines in the Neon can be modified.  Surf the links provided below for ideas on how to squeeze more power from the Neon's powertrain.

yes put a 2,4 in it out of a stratus or another neon that will make it faster you can even change it to a turbo if you go with one from a neon srt-4,if you can find a wrecked one,those was fast engines,that's the easiest swap there is to do on those,it would cost you about 1200 0r better to make the complete swap on that one,good luck.

You can do anything you want if your willing to put the time and money in to it. However, a clean swap over you would want to locate one of the turbo engines out of another Neon or PT cruiser. Or you can purchase the Chrysler performance catalog and use the options listed in the catalog. This is the best way then swapping out the whole engine.
