  1. Hydrogen can and will power future jet aircraft, and currently power the space ships during launch.


  2. I guess you mean 'jet fuel' by 'oil'...

    There were experiments to power an aircraft with natural gas, hydrogen, or even nuclear fuel cells. All of these were successful, but not profitable / safe.

    Yes! for aileron, landing gears there is hydraulic oil but not to power the engines...come on...you know that...

    All modern aircrafts use Paraffin*.

    *Paraffin is one level below to petrol (or gas) in your car when crude oil is refined.

  10. My understanding is that the Scramjet technology uses the compression of air to pruduce a jet thrust. It merely requires a bit of water in addition.

    It has been tested, but I assume it will be some time before it goes commercial.
