  1. Any knowledge invading the privacy of others. I'm referring less to panty raids, and more to the FISA bill and its ilk.

  2. You shouldn't seek any knowledge that will lessen your point of view on the world.

If you knew everything that interested you, you would have no knowledge left to seek, and you could, from my point of view, just as well be dead.

It is in the human nature to wonder, and be puzzled. And if there's nothing left to ponder on, nothing left unknown, there's nothing left to be excited about.

Man has previously always turned to the supernatural (not religion as such, it could just as well be about the Loch Ness monster or whether there really exists people who control fire with their minds etc.) when there's something we couldn't explain, and this has made the world a lot more interesting to us.

So my answer: There's no knowledge you shouldn't seek, as long as you don't succeed in obtaining it all :)

  3. the knowledge we should not seek is how to cheat, how to steal, how to scam. to discover these things, you would prove untrustworthy to all... and be left alone... forever...

  4. I personally do not believe there is not any knowledge we should not seek. Knowledge, in all areas of life, helps in advancement of understanding. I believe if someone feels there is a certain area of knowledge that should not be sought it has an underlying perception of fear.

  5. The more knowledge we gain, the wiser we become...If we gain enough wisdom, the inclination to seek out knowledge that would lead to our detriment, would not exist.

  6. i really enjoy the last part of the answer above me.

and i also believe that there isn't any kind of knowledge we shouldn't seek but there IS knowledge we wish we didn't.

  7. if we knew everything, than nothing would be interesting. seek only the knowledge you are interested in, and leave the rest be.
