  1. All countries in Latin America, from Tierra del Fuego to the Rio Grande valley of Texas/Mexico, have sweat shops - very lowly paid workers who do repetitive and occasionally dangerous tasks for many hours on end.

When you have countries in which over half of the citizens live below the country's poverty line, you are inviting sweat shops - it is better than watching your family starve.

  2. NTK92 is right. As for just a few specs:

    Along the US/Mexico border.

    Nicaragua

El Salvador (the whole country is a sweat shop that manufactures most of the goods you must be enjoying right now).

Panama (mostly the former US Canal Zone)

Colombia, but this country uses a diferent name: "free zones" (similar to Panama) which consists of huge plots of land where big transnational corportation can set up shop free of any interference by the State. There are no rules to abide by, and this harmful to the people working there). Even Colombians are unaware of this.
